Forward Institute / Leadership
Responsible Leadership
One way is to surround yourself with a robust mix of external perspectives - to share practice, debate and discuss critical issues, test thinking and be held to account for your decisions. The Forward Institute was developed with this in mind.
LAB Founder Bhanita Mistry-Russell is part of a small team of facilitators to host discussion groups, dinners, and support events to stimulate conversation, encourage sharing and cross sector collaboration on key organisational, cultural and societal issues.
Topics have included: systemic bias, the possibilities and perils of AI, wilful blindness, climate change, diversity, systemic change and managing crises.
These 18 month enquiries are part of a 'Responsible Leadership' journey taken by cross sector cohorts of 70 institutional leaders - a process developed and designed by the Forward Institute and run since 2015. It includes leaders from a mix of the UK's major public, private and charity sector institutions from the MET police, NHS to the Welcome Trust, Save the Children, Tesco, Barclays and the BBC.
